Rough Terrain Equipment

If your company is using shooter boom lifts, lulls, front-end loaders with fork attachments, or any other rough terrain forklift trucks on the job, OSHA requires you to train employees on the forklifts they use.  The sections of this Rough Terrain Equipment Training Course address each section of OSHA's, "Powered Industrial Truck Operator Training" standards. The sections cover, in a way that is easily understood, the skills and knowledge necessary for an operator to safely operate a "rough terrain" or "heavy" powered industrial truck. Your safety requirements will be much more detailed due to the amount of different surfaces you can work on. You will be working with different types of loads as well and will need to know weight ratios in regards to the surface you are operating on.
